I was born in Halifax Nova Scotia and spent most of my childhood in the wilds of Cape Breton. In 2002 I graduated from high school and moved to the big city of Fredericton to attend St. Thomas University. In 2006 I graduated from St. Thomas University with my Bachelor of Arts, Major in English. While there I also completed two minors, one in Sociology and one in Journalism. Through my journalism courses I was exposed to photojournalism, which led me to photography.

In the fall of 2006 I started the photography program at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design. Since then I have found a variety of subjects in photography that interest me. I expected to only focus on photojournalism but soon found myself enjoying Photoshop, fashion photography, portraits, studio work, basically anything that had to do with photography.

My work focuses on the many types of photography that I enjoy. My main focus is still in photojournalism but I don’t think I will ever practice one form of photography exclusively. My goal in life has always been to do what I love and picking up a camera and capturing a moment in time is what I love doing. I enjoy capturing all moments, those created in the studio and those that happen by chance in real life.

If you have any questions or comments about my work please feel free to email me.

(I prefer to write about myself in the 1st person rather than the 3rd which is why this Biography is a clever disguise for an autobiography)
